Valentine’s Day is for sweet hearts. Many people celebrate by exchanging gifts. The most popular is the greeting card and about one billion cards are given, this holiday is second only to Christmas. Chocolate is the second most popular gift and more than 35 million heart-shaped boxes will be sold for Valentine’s Day. Tied for third are flowers and dining out. 

Daiquiri Dick’s in Puerto Vallarta is celebrating Valentine’s Day with a special menu. Executive Chef Ignacio Uribe and Sous Chef Hugo Mejia have created a lovely menu for this holiday. You select one starter and one entrée and then enjoy a delectable dessert. The cost is $550 pesos per person and dinner is served between 5 and 11pm.

Starters
Tuscan Tomato Soup with Goat Cheese and Toasted Crouton
Asparagus-Brie Tartines with Prosciutto and Sun Dried Tomatoes on Grilled Baguette
Moroccan Chicken B’stilla - Individual Filo Pie with Chicken, Almonds and Herbs sprinkled with Sugar

Entrees
*Napoleon of Grilled Sea Bass and San Blas Shrimp with Grilled Red Bell Pepper, Zucchini, Spinach,  a Parmesan Tuille and Citrus Beurre Blanc
*Roasted Prime Rib served with Garlic-Rosemary Roasted Baby Potatoes, Creamed Horseradish and Green Beans

Dessert
Dessert Sampler with Tiramisu Heart, Chocolate Dipped Strawberry and House Made Truffles
