Get ready foodies. Some of the best restaurants in Puerto Vallarta are calling you to their table for the 10th Annual Restaurant Week, which runs May 15-31, 2014. Daiquiri Dick's restaurant has participated every year and this year Executive Chef Ignacio Uribe and his team came up with wonderful menu items.
Daiquiri Dick's offers three courses for only $299 pesos and there are choices for each course. Dinner is served from 5 to 11pm every day but Tuesdays. Here are the selections:
Greek Salad with basil pesto-marinated shrimp, feta, olives, cucumber and cherry tomatoes
Cannellini Bean Soup with pancetta, escarole and Parmesan
Beet-Arugula Salad with miso and black sesame seed vinaigrette
Mahi-Mahi Fillet with jasmine rice, peanuts, mint, cilantro and queen basil
Cajun-style Roast Chicken with corn, roasted poblanos, homemade chorizo and tomato sauce
Lasagna Puttanesca with ricotta, eggplant, anchovies and olives

“For us the original idea was to get more of the local people out to try restaurants that maybe they had never been to including ourselves," says Tari Bowman, owner of Daiquiri Dick's, "we started going to a few we never tried and I think that still stands, more local folks getting involved and local businesses participating.”
