Indian cuisine has been shaped by about a 5000-year history. The vastly different regions, various groups and cultures that traded with each other and contrasting religions all combine to make up the cultural fabric of the food and all added their own flair to the dishes.

Staple foods of Indian cuisine include millet, rice, whole wheat flour and a variety of lentils.  The most important or frequently used spices are chili peppers, black mustard seed, cardamom, cumin, turmeric, ginger, coriander and garlic.  Many dishes are characterized by the use of the various spices, herbs and other vegetables grown in India.  The cuisine is also influenced by the widespread practice of vegetarianism.

Experience the exotic taste of India during the Weekly Special at Daiquiri Dick's restaurant in Puerto Vallarta December 7 - 14, 2015.  Executive Chef, Ignacio Uribe, Chef de Cuisine Hugo Mejia and Sous Chef Rogelio Garcia come up with great recipes every week and a different country is featured.  This is a la carte dinner menu and is served from 5 to 11pm.
